You will have the ability to pursue a career in healthcare management, care home managers, practice/clinic administration and patient services.

Our HND in Health and Social Care Practice is available across 10 campuses in Birmingham, London, Leeds and Manchester. All four campuses provide you with the facilities and support to excel in the classroom, with a great selection of things to see and do during your leisure time.

At 91ÇéÉ«, we understand the importance of building a course that can fit in with the lives of our students as best as possible. Therefore, our HND in Health and Social Care Practice is available on weekdays (9:45am - 3:15pm), providing the flexibility you need for a balanced lifestyle inside and out of the classroom.

Here are the entry requirements for this course:

Applicants must be aged 18+ and: 

• Have a Level 3 qualification or an Access to Higher Education certificate.
• Demonstrate English proficiency: GCSE 4/C or CEFR B2. If you do not have this qualification, you can carry out an English test provided at a 91ÇéÉ« campus.
• Pass an Academic interview.

Applicants aged 21+:

• We welcome applications from students 21+ who do not match the standard entry requirements but who can demonstrate willingness and commitment to studying this subject, and who can evidence academic, professional or vocational experience in a related field.
• Demonstrate English proficiency: GCSE 4/C or CEFR B2. If you do not have this qualification, you can carry out an English test provided at a 91ÇéÉ« campus.

Your HND in Health and Social Care Practice will provide you with measured progression in your understanding of the English healthcare system. Year 1 (Level 4) covers foundational areas including law, policy and ethical practice, anatomy and physiology, health education and professional principles. Year 2 (Level 5) delves into advanced management and specialist topics such as global health and wellbeing, managing quality in care environments, reflective practice, and participatory action research.

There are no formal examinations required during this course. Assessments are undertaken in several ways, including individual and group presentations with observation records, writing assignments, case study analysis, professional discussions, reflective journals and work-based projects. You will be required to work in your own time to complete research, homework tasks or group work. Self-study is an essential component of your success during this course.
